cake baked doughnuts
DITCH THE DEEP FRY DOUGHNUTS!
no- just kidding! but seriously, these baked cake doughnuts are so so good! what's not awesome about not deep frying your doughnuts? could be a little slightly different but ultimately you're going to love them! best part? you can add your own toppings! it's fun to make!
ingredients:
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg (reduced to 1/4 tsp if you don't like the strong flavor)
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (reduced to 1/4 tsp if you don't like the strong flavor)
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- some toppings of your choice
directions:
- pre heat the oven to 325F
- in a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt
- stir in milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and vegetable oil. beat together until well blended
- lightly grease the doughnut pan
- fill each doughnut cup approximately 3/4 full
- bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the pre heated oven
- allow to cool down the doughnuts before removing from pan
- put toppings and enjoy!
