directions:

  1. warm the milk into the microwave, make sure it is in the right temperature. it should be between 110f to 115f to help the yeast rise
  2. add the yeast and sugar into the warm milk. stir and set aside until the yeast bloomed. about 8 to 10 minutes
  3. into a different mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients, (the flour, salt, sugar,) and set aside
  4. once the yeast is ready, pour the yeast mixture into the dry ingredients, then add the egg and start kneading using the stand mixer. the dough can be knead by hand, but i highly recommend using the stand mixer for easy kneading
  5. after about 3 minutes of kneading, add the softened butter and continue kneading until the dough is soft. about 8 to 10 minutes
  6. cover the dough with plastic wrap and let the dough rise for 1.5 to 2 hours or until the dough has doubled in size
  7. at this point, combine the cinnamon powder and brown sugar together to prepare the filling
  8. once the dough doubled in size, place the dough into a clean surface area
  9. shape the dough into a ball and cut into half
  10. flatten the dough using the rolling pin and try to make the shape into rectangular as possible (doesn't need to be in perfect shape)
  11. spread the remaining softened butter and then pour the cinnamon brown sugar mixture on top of the flattened dough
  12. sprinkle the bacon bits on top
  13. divide the dough into 4
  14. roll each dough while stretching the rolled dough lengthwise to make the dough longer
  15. cut the dough into half leaving a half inch on the end part to hold the bread together
  16. twist the bread together and roll up! do the same to the remaining dough
  17. place the bread into a baking pan lined with parchment paper
  18. cover and let the dough rise for another 25 to 30 minutes
  19. pre heat the oven to 350F
  20. bake the bread for 17 to 20 minutes or until the bread is golden brown
  21. combine the maple syrup and powdered sugar
  22. glaze the bread with the maple syrup mixture and top with more bacon
  23. enjoy while it's warm
