japanese milk bread

super soft and fluffy!!

hi riders,

in today's episode, i will be showing you on how to make these super soft, fluffy and delicious japanese milk bread. this recipe is definitely not new to anyone, you can find this recipe everywhere in the internet. i made it the other day and my friends totally loved it. so i thought, why not share it with all my riders out there?! so let's go ahead and check all the ingredients! :)

list of ingredients:

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoon instant dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 4 tablespoon (1/4 stick butter)
  • 2/3 teaspoon salt

directions: (you can also watch the video for instructions - youtube video will be up soon)

  1. combine milk and instant dry yeast and set aside.
  2. mix the flour, sugar and the milk mixture until it forms like a dough.
  3. then, add the salt and keep kneading. you can use stand mixer if you need to, but i am just using my hand to create the dough.
  4. once it's all mixed, stretch the dough out and add the butter in the center of the dough. you want to make sure the butter is soft. this could get messy but it's okay, just keep kneading until the dough becomes soft and stretchy, the dough should not stick into your hand, if this happens add a little more flour.
  5. put the dough into a bowl and let it rise for an hour or so or until it doubled in size. (tip: grease the bowl so that the dough wont stick)
  6. once the dough is ready, cut into small sizes, i was able to make 12 pieces.
  7. roll the dough into a ball.
  8. then let it rise again for another 30 mins
  9. pre-heat the oven to 350F
  10. bake for 18 to 20 minutes.
  11. and it DONE!

let me know if you will give this a try! :)
