MARSHMALLOW BREAD

ingredients:

directions:

  1. into a bowl, add flour, sugar and salt. combine
  2. combine milk and active dry yeast into a mixing bowl
  3. add the dry ingredients into the yeast mixture
  4. then add the egg
  5. start kneading 
  6. halfway through kneading, add the butter and continue kneading until the dough is soft (about 7 to 8 minutes)
  7. form the dough into a ball
  8. then divide the dough into 12 pieces 
  9. take one dough and flatten it out
  10. then cut the flatten dough into strips leaving an inch or 2 of the dough uncut where you place the marshmallows
  11. roll the marshmallow while securing both sides of the dough
  12. place in a baking loaf pan 
  13. cover the bread and let it sit for 30 minutes
  14. brush the top with milk ( if you don't like the burnt dough, skip this process)
  15. bake the bread to 325F pre heated oven for 15 to 17 minutes 
  16. brush the top of the bread with butter and enjoy! (best to enjoy the bread while it's warm)

WHITE CHOCO BREAD

ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups warm milk (110f)
  • 2 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 4 cups bread flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • white chocolate chips (for toppings)

directions:

  1. into a mixing bowl, add the warm milk and yeast. stir
  2. add the flour, sugar and salt and stir
  3. start kneading using the stand mixer until the dough starts to come together 
  4. then add the butter and continue kneading until the dough is soft (about 5 to 7 minutes)
  5. shape the dough into a ball and put in a large bowl
  6. cover and let the dough rest for 1.5 hours or until the dough doubled in size
  7. once the dough is ready, deflate the dough 
  8. divide the dough into 12 pieces 
  9. flatten the dough into a long shape
  10. slightly cut the middle of the flattened dough leaving both ends intact 
  11. hold both ends of the dough and twist both ends in different directions 
  12. roll the dough around itself and pinch the end under the rolled dough so it doesn't unravel while baking
  13. top with white chocolate chips 
  14. repeat the process to each remaining dough
  15. cover the bread with cloth and let the bread rest for another 20 minutes
  16. pre heat the oven to 350F
  17. after 20 minutes, bake the bread to pre heated oven for 20 minutes 
  18. enjoy!

MILK BREAD ROLLS | NO KNEAD

no time to knead, or hate kneading? try this bread rolls no knead recipe. me and my little one really enjoyed the bread.

ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour 313g
  • 1/4 cup dry milk 29g
  • 1/4 cups sugar 61g
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt 2g
  • 2 1/4 teaspoon active dry yeast 10g
  • 2/3 cup water 146g
  • 1 egg  whites | save the yolk for toppings
  • 3 tablespoon softened butter

directions:

  1. into a bowl, add all dry ingredients ( flour, dry milk, sugar, salt, and yeast) mix all together using a spatula
  2. add the water and the egg whites and mix until all the ingredients are combined (dough will be a little sticky)
  3. add the softened butter and mix using a spatula, i personally like to use my hand, i find it more easier than spatula, mix until all combined
  4. move the dough into a bowl (or you can just cover the bowl you are using with plastic wrap) 
  5. let the dough rise for 1.5 hours or until the dough doubled in size
  6. after the dough has doubled the size, shape the dough into a ball
  7. divide the dough into 8 equal size 
  8. then shape each dough into a ball
  9. then place the shaped dough into a prepared baking pan 
  10. cover and let the dough rise for another 1 hour
  11. when the dough is ready, brush the top with the egg yolk
  12. then sprinkle the top with generous amount of granulated sugar
  13. bake to 350f pre heated oven for 15 to 17 minutes or until the top of the bread is golden brown
  14. enjoy!

yoyo bread

YOYO BREAD RECIPE

here is another yummy bread that always reminds me of a certain place! absolutely easy and quick to make. no need to wait for hours! :)

ingredients:

directions:

  1. pre heat the oven to 350F
  2. add warm water, sugar and milk powder in the mixing bowl. combine until the sugar has dissolved
  3. add the egg and butter and continue to mix
  4. add the vanilla extract and ube flavor and continue to mix
  5. add the flour and baking powder. mix until combined, but do not overmix!
  6. place the batter into a batter bag
  7. place parchment paper in a baking pan
  8. add at least 2 tablespoon batter into the baking pan
  9. bake for 15 minutes
  10. while the bread is in the oven, combine the butter and powdered sugar for the filling
  11. once the bread is done baking, make sure to cool it down and then brush the top with margarine
  12. take one bread then add the filling, then take another bread and glue the bread together
  13. roll the bread in the bed of sugar
  14. and enjoy!

pineapple buns

here i'm going to show you how to make a pineapple buns! this is NOT the same as the bolo bao! we will use a pineapple jam as the filling. so if you want to learn, please keep reading! :)

ingredients:

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 teaspoon instant dry yeast
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

 

pineapple buns

directions:

  1. combine flour, sugar and salt into a bowl
  2. add the instant dry yeast. mix
  3. then add the hot water, eggs and vegetable oil. combine
  4. then start kneading your dough. you can use a stand mixer if you prefer
  5. let the dough rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size
  6. after the dough has risen. divide the dough into equal pieces.
  7. flatten the dough using a rolling pin
  8. scoop a tablespoon of pineapple jam into the middle of the flattened dough
  9. then seal tightly (do the same to the remaining dough)
  10. line a parchment paper into a baking dish
  11. move the bread into the baking dish
  12. brush the top of the bread with egg wash
  13. and bake the bread to 350F for 10 to 20 minutes
  14. and enjoy!

p.s you can sprinkle the top with powdered sugar! it wont make any difference but it looks pretty! :P

tomato bread

who would think a tomato could turn into a delicious bread? i mean, liquid and flour equals bread, right? so maybe it's not a surprise! but i will show you how to make this delicious, soft, fluffy and healthier version of bread! although, the dough is a little hard to work on, but with a little patience, you will end up a bread that is heavenly sent. :)

ingredients:

  • hot water
  • 2 pieces tomatoes
  • 2 eggs (plus 1 extra for brushing)
  • 3 cups all purpose flour (1 cup for extra )
  • 3 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoon instant dry yeast
  • breadcrumbs

directions:

  1. place tomatoes into a bowl
  2. pour a hot water into the tomatoes, leave for 3 minutes and then flip over (this is to make sure there's no dirt that's left in the tomatoes).
  3. place the clean tomatoes into the chopping board
  4. start slicing them (this is to make it easier to blend
  5. place the sliced tomatoes and eggs into the blender and blend
  6. pour the tomatoes and egg mixture into a bowl. set aside.
  7. add flour, sugar and yeast into the mixing bowl and mix.
  8. add the tomato and egg mixture into the flour mixture and combine until incorporated
  9. you will eventually need to move the dough into the clean surface and start kneading until you formed a nice and soft dough. it should be good when its no longer sticks to your hand. keep adding a flour if the dough is sticky.
  10. cover the dough and let it rise until doubled in size. about 1 hour.
  11. divide the dough into small sizes. you can weigh the dough if you want to get an even amount. otherwise, it doesn't really matter
  12. place the dough into an oiled baking dish and let it rise again for another 30 minutes.
  13. meanwhile, pre-heat the oven to 350F
  14. bake for 18 to 20 minutes.
  15. and enjoy!

enjoy the buns with peanut butter, jelly or eat it plain. yummy with coffee too. :)
