---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

sai's tip for this recipe:

  1. you can add olive oil or garlic powder for this recipe, it will be so good!
  2. if you think the mixture is too sweet, you might want to slowly add the sugar into the mixture to make sure it will meet your tastes
  3. if it's too sour, add more sugar until it levels up the sweetness and sourness
  4. try this salad with white rice on the side, it's super good too

pork binagoongan

pork binagoongan (shrimp paste with pork) is a filipino dish where you cook a meat and shrimp together. and since it is a bit in a salty side dish, you may pair it with rice and steamed vegetables! there are so many ways to cook pork binagoongan, many will add some vegetables in it already. but i'm going to make the basic way and probably fastest. the ingredients are probably something you may already have in your pantry. so let's start!

pork belly

ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 of a whole onion (chopped)
  • 3 gloves garlic (chopped)
  • 1 whole roma tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1 pound pork (cut into cube) you can use pork belly
  • 3 tbsp shrimp paste
  • 1/2 cup water (more if needed)
  • ground black pepper (optional)
  • garlic powder (optional)
  • green onions for toppings

directions:

  1. add vegetable oil into a heated pot
  2. saute the onion until it turns transparent
  3. add the garlic and tomatoes and cook the tomatoes until it's mushy
  4. add the pork and water and cover until it the pork is cooked
  5. add the shrimp paste and cook more
  6. you can add some seasonings you prefer like powdered garlic, powdered onion, black pepper,
  7. and top with green onions

pork

enjoy!

love you bunches,

sai

tomato bread

who would think a tomato could turn into a delicious bread? i mean, liquid and flour equals bread, right? so maybe it's not a surprise! but i will show you how to make this delicious, soft, fluffy and healthier version of bread! although, the dough is a little hard to work on, but with a little patience, you will end up a bread that is heavenly sent. :)

tomato egg

ingredients:

  • hot water
  • 2 pieces tomatoes
  • 2 eggs (plus 1 extra for brushing)
  • 3 cups all purpose flour (1 cup for extra )
  • 3 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoon instant dry yeast
  • breadcrumbs
tomato bread

directions:

  1. place tomatoes into a bowl
  2. pour a hot water into the tomatoes, leave for 3 minutes and then flip over (this is to make sure there's no dirt that's left in the tomatoes).
  3. place the clean tomatoes into the chopping board
  4. start slicing them (this is to make it easier to blend
  5. place the sliced tomatoes and eggs into the blender and blend
  6. pour the tomatoes and egg mixture into a bowl. set aside.
  7. add flour, sugar and yeast into the mixing bowl and mix.
  8. add the tomato and egg mixture into the flour mixture and combine until incorporated
  9. you will eventually need to move the dough into the clean surface and start kneading until you formed a nice and soft dough. it should be good when its no longer sticks to your hand. keep adding a flour if the dough is sticky.
  10. cover the dough and let it rise until doubled in size. about 1 hour.
  11. divide the dough into small sizes. you can weigh the dough if you want to get an even amount. otherwise, it doesn't really matter
  12. place the dough into an oiled baking dish and let it rise again for another 30 minutes.
  13. meanwhile, pre-heat the oven to 350F
  14. bake for 18 to 20 minutes.
  15. and enjoy!

enjoy the buns with peanut butter, jelly or eat it plain. yummy with coffee too. :)

thank you guys for coming back, and if you haven't sign up yet, go ahead. it's free! :) see you next time!

enchiladas | vegetarian

hey riders,

in this episode of in for the ride, i will show you my own way of making enchiladas! believe it or not, i used to really not like mexican food, in fact before i got here in the US, i had never had enchiladas. since then, my love for mexican food has grown, and now it is one of my favorite foods!

when i think of enchiladas, i thought of the cheesy sauce smothered on top of the burrito- that's enchiladas! but i don't think that is really how traditionally it's done. this is just my own way-- so, if you are interested on how to make this recipe, please head over to my youtube channel for the easy guide.

thank you so much and see you next time..
